And Iraq epitomizes their attitude about the world.

Are you referring to the fact that the Left wanted us to pull out of Iraq but now there is general agreement that we are very close to having won the war? And that had we pulled out when Harry Reid and Obama wanted us to, we would have left Iraq in the hands of AQ which would have emboldened them around the world and obviously, in retrospect, been the worst conceivable mistake we could have made?

I guess you don't read very well. AQ has weakened in Iraq not because of the American war effort but because of the negative reaction Iraqis have had to AQ's semi public executions. And in case, you think this an aberrant view of the news media, you would be wrong. This the evaluation given by generals in Iraq.

Are you referring to the fact that after Bush did precisely what McCain called for, Iraq turned around? What are you complaining about? That you no longer have Iraq to support your quest for power?

Are you suggesting a majority of Americans don't want the US to pull out of Iraq?

No, I'm refering to going in in the first place.

My quest is for a strong US, especially a strong US economy. Bush has done nothing but weaken the US in every way, and McCain will follow the same policy.
