John, I have to agree with you re: housing. The bears are pressing their bets.

I said on the Real Estate Investment board to a permabull 4 years ago that I would buy when I saw year over year inventory declines.

I've seen it and I'm taking my pick. There will always be a buyer for the best areas. If it's not NY financiers, it will be doctors and lawyers who have strong stable incomes.

The bottoming process has begun and in some areas "oversold" snapbacks are indeed possible, especially in areas with short commutes and good schools.

Incidentally I have punted on a few airlines based on exactly what you said. Currently long JBLU and DAL.

Airlines are up today, I like that...a lot.
