Talk to the Europeans... they get damn good care at 1/2 the cost.

Not even close to what Americans get. NOT EVEN CLOSE.

Look......you clearly have little understanding of the cost of American medical system these days to the average consumer. You need to get a crash course real fast. Two weeks ago, I went to a allergy specialist to see if I could get shots to reduce the impact of my allergies. A technician ran a series of tests on me that took up to 45 minutes. Another technician then did another test that took 15 minutes. I spoke to the MD for another 15 minutes. Total cost: $1000. My insurance picked up $400 of it. My share is $600. Last fall, I got bit by something that caused my leg to swell.....I went to the ER. Huge mistake. They looked at the bite.....it was a spider bite. Nothing they could do....gave me a antibiotic and two Claritin. $700. My insurance wouldn't touch it.

These stories are repeated over and over again where people have health insurance. If they don't have insurance, they either forego getting help or they default on their bills. My cousin, an MD, was like you a few years ago. However, watching me go through what I have gone through with my allergies and asthma, his position on national health insurance is changing. He still doesn't like it but understands now why there is a need. As for the medical profession and the medical system, he is much less positive.

Your BS about this country having the best medical system in the world is belied by some basic facts.......like life span longevity. If our system is so good, why are we well below the top in terms of longevity. The US is pretty much tied with Mexico when it comes to lifespan. There are other statistics that suggest problems in the system. So take off your rose tinted glasses.......you are not seeing things nearly as clearly as your posting suggests.

Author: McCain Called Wife Cunt, Trollop
In his book The Real McCain, author Cliff Schecter claims that John McCain made extremely ugly remarks about his wife Cindy McCain during a tirade witnessed by three reporters and two aides. "At one point, Cindy playfully twirled McCain's hair and said, 'You're getting a little thin up there,'" Schechter writes. "McCain's face reddened, and he responded, 'At least I don't plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you cunt.' McCain's excuse was that it had been a long day. If elected president of the United States, McCain would have many long days."
