There seems to be a steady flow of people around here looking for hobby farms, or land suitable for hobby farming, even more ... no slack-off there at all ... this is not far from BC coast, but out of greater Hongcouver area, which is another market entirely, crazy ... around here there has been good recovery from the '00-'01 trough, but nothing like a mania, a local record was just set for one typical class of place, but not by so far really, it still went below listing price ... buyer almost had to back out due to a sudden family crisis, another offer came in instantly, even it was slightly below listing ... now there is a less desirable place [imho] not far away, priced at near ten per cent above the other, we'll see how that goes

Above is purely anecdotal, haven't read anything much on the situation, just talk to people, some of them realtors, some involved in or just interested in the business of buying and selling ... anyway, ability of the land to grow stuff seems to be an attractant lately, usually buyers plan to move here later on, where before they'd expect to get a fancy ride-on lawnmower, now they tend to have food on the mind

Sold dmm and aru today, most all of the latter, bought bits of trx.v, ngd.wt.a ... would have been more buying but for land taxes, insurance time on two vehicles, and a total re-and-re on a downhole waterpump and pumphouse plumbing - ouch, that stuff costs the earth nowadays
