No offence taken. No two investors will come up with the same valuation ever.I value a stock on its assets, risk, management politics and price I pay for the value I receive.GEM is not the only U stock out there that may be undervalued. But I need only find no more than a few undervalued companies to beat the S&P by a long shot during a year.

GEM has done this by far in just a few weeks. So I need to look a little less harder to reach my goal as a result.

I like to hold less than a dozen companies. This allows me to get a good understanding and when possible to meet with the management of companies I hold.No DD is better than a one on one with the CEO.

It beats an internet chat room hands down.On the other hand I don't mind sharing my findings with others in a public forum.

I can learn from others as well as teach some, from time to time.
BTW rising costs are across all mining ventures, its a fact of life.
Good luck with your stock picking

James

Does UPC have the Sheep Mountain project? It looks good to me based on if they have that project.

I am happy to see the civility on this thread. I find it is very useful to read the postings of someone who deeply understands one stock. My style is usually to pick a basket based on a major macro trend. Often I find the deeper issues that affect one specific stock will effect most of my basket sooner or later, and when I learn things, I will often adjust my allocation.

Another thing that is nice about stock pickers - after being bullish XYZ for 18 months, they may post that most of the value has been priced in, or the chief geologist left and the company plans a dilutive secondary, and they are starting to sell.

Back when Yahoo was still useful, I noticed a strong correlation between the civility of a specific stock thread, and how well both bulls and bears behaved, and the performance of the stock.
