Remember Chernoble. They had to give all the children in Europe iodine to prevent thyroid cancer. And that one did not competely melt down, but it killed a lot fo people and the area around it is now only inhabitied by wild animals.

I do not know the answer, but what woriess me about any radiation is that it is invisable and I have no confidence in the human species being infallible. And with nuclear reactors they must be.

Third world countries are melting down Xray machines and making jewelry with the metal. Buy one of those braclets and you just killed yourself. Sort of like when we used to have radium clocks and shoe xrays.

We may have to go to nuclear, but what happens when you get a bush responsible for monitoring it? And we did give the most powerful position in the world to bush, why not a few nuclear reactors?

There may be nothing else we can do, but nuclear reactors do make me nervous.
