PS What inode misses is that the current attacks by the left on Mccain are taken from the republican rt wing playbook of 2000 primary season.

Let's make this very clear..........this was not an attack on McCain.....not like what Kerry experienced. What people are saying is that McCain's flying experience is not all that relevant in terms of running a country. And that's very true. They are not bashing his character.

What the right did with Kerry was to first bash his war background and then used that as a springboard to bash is character. Two very different approaches and I refuse, absolutely refuse to get into inoys's whiny reproach.

Did you see krugmans article today about obama on whether he was going to be a transformational president like reagan or more like clinton. I am actually rooting for the former because whether one likes reagan or not, we needed to get out of a similar then that we need to get out of today. Progressivism/reformism rooted in the american experience and american values is what we need today. I am thinking TR more than RR or FDR.

Obama will be the most transformational president since FDR.

The right joked about kerry being shot in the ass running away was the implication.

When you say "the Right", to whom are you referring? I'm sure there are a few on the far Right who made such criticisms, I'm sure.

You are really quick to bash "the Right" but give "the Left" a pass for its far more egregious attacks. Both sides have their bad actors, but the sleazy practices are far more prevalent amongst the Left than they have ever been amongst the Right.
