Cell phones kill - if we can save only one life. :-)

But, where they really missed the mark is by not following NYC's law of no cell phone while walking across the street. I see damn fools every day in downtown L.A. (mostly girls)yapping away and not watching for vehicles.

Just 4 months ago my bosses teenage daughter ended up hitting a woman that was J walking in the worst spot possible yakking away... She had some bruises and contusions, she was no more brain damaged than she was before.....<g> The teenager wasn't found at fault fortunately....

I was forced into carrying a cell (by my wife) and they are convenient, but I can't stand using them and I won't use them when I'm driving that's for sure......

Additional info on cell phones in L.A.

I heard on the radio today that LAPD said the initial fine would be a total of $76 including "assessments". The second offense is $190. More to my liking.
