I was forced into carrying a cell (by my wife) and they are convenient, but I can't stand using them and I won't use them when I'm driving that's for sure..

Back when I was doing the LA freeway commute every day, I managed to use the gas, brakes, and clutch, shifting gears and steering with my knees while simultaneously eating an egg mcmuffin, drinking coffee and smoking a cigarette. Had the technique down. Only spilled coffee on my crotch once.. :)

I found that the one or two times when someone has handed me a cell phone while I was driving to be far more distracting than all of the above. Something about that phone puts your brain into a different zone, one that's not very compatible with driving, IMO...
