""global warming is man made""

Don't want to argue with you but that statement is BS

Man is helping global warming along but face it the earth has been warming up for thousands of years when no man was even here

Speaking of the arctic ice pack, drill cores from the ice provide a record of atmospheric CO2 levels for thousands of years. My recollection is that CO2 levels have been rising for about 8,000 years. This matches with the rock record which also implies warming during that period. Granted, there is also evidence that the rate of change has increased since the industrial revolution. I believe man can influence these changes, but to believe that man can CONTROL these trends is a very dangerous delusion in my opinion.

Another pet peave of mine is that I always hear about the carbon sink of coal, oil and nat gas. That is miniscule compared to the carbon sink of limestone and other carbonate rocks. Limestone dissolves in humid climates and global humid belts expand as the earth warms, a self perpetuating situation.

I think climate change is an important concern, and I deeply hope that there is a lot more science and a lot less politics going on behind the scenes. All I see presented for public consumption is political noise. All of this political spin destroys science just as fiat money destroys real wealth.
