@PCM Buggy, basically you imply that PCM competes against NOR. I think the target competitor for PCM will be DRAM. SPSN also tries to compete against DRAM but can only populate a niche because of the bad write characteristics. Maybe PCM can handle this better and also can scale down the nodes better than DRAM. Anyway PCMs first target is NOR because NOR characteristics are easier to catch. Numonyx just keeps on developing PCM and finding out which characteristics can be obtained. Then Numonyx will try to find a market for PCM. Maybe the first implementation will be similar to EcoRAM: More expensive than EcoRAM but cheaper than DRAM and hopefully much better write characteristics so it can be used in any server in order to save cooling energy.
