I thought I'd keep out of this....but.

cat for a grandson.....fair exchange I suppose....some would think that's a fine trade.

but I think this....if he were irresponsible the day he let the cat out....he was irresponsible the day before that...and the day before that and perhaps months or years before that....

and you knew that....but you needed a cat sitter.

you share the responsibility.

you actually are more guilty than he is as you are a level headed adult.....and he was/is an irresponsible kid.

No remorse.....typical....generational behavioral pattern....I hate it.....but you pays your money and you takes your chances.

Today I went to my Wednesday combat match......and expected to purchase 1000 rounds of ammo while there. I reached for the cash and found I was 130$ short......the next 4 hours were pure hell.....who took the money. I prayed it was my wife as I could not bear the possibility that my only baby could have bit me for the money when she gets all she ever needs/wants. I got home and quizzed my wife without telling her what the subject matter was...kinda....did you mess with any of my stuff in the last few days.....after about 4 minutes she said....oh...yeah...I took a bunch of money from your clip.

I cried.

The relief of knowing my 18 year old daughter was innocent was beyond description.

Take a deep breath and muster up the guts to face the kid and tell him.....shit happens.

TH

They call that tough love. Only answer in some cases. It's up to him now and harder on you than him.
