Great point. The Republicans made it look like somehow Kerry's military experience wasn't worth chit. So why is it that McCain's is supposed to be worth more than Kerry's? That doesn't hold much water. I think what we're seeing is that the neocons don't like it much when the Rove play book is used against them. Unfortunately for them, turnabout is fair play.

Several very dubious Purple Hearts and Silver Star are in a different category that the POW experience -- particularly when you observe his contempt for America and the military after his return from Vietnam. Kerry is a farce war hero at best.

I understand there may have been an event at Corpus Christi Naval Air Station during his training days. When you say, "he lost 5 planes as a Naval airman," is there a reference for the claim? - I would like to see what happened; if true, that is a high number of losses.

It is amazing how some folks will excuse such behaviors so long as it is a liberal who is involved. In addition to "John Wayne Kerry" Clinton's elusive behavior, to shirk his military service, comes into mind; but that's OK, right?
