I would welcome Powell's support for our candidate, as it would help tremendously in the foreign affairs issue.

Personally, I think Powell is a troubled man in respect to his own conscience. In the past, he has acted on behalf of others, actions which would question his integrity. You guys are smart and informed, you know what I am talking about.

In short, Powell probably knows he sold his soul to the devil for fame and fortune, and now is trying to get it back by doing the right thing: endorse Barack.

tejek: "So true. I will never forgive Powell for letting them use his good name to convince the UN and the American people that war in Iraq was necessary."

koan; " I think many people romanticize Powell. IMO he is sleezy. I beleive he knew what was going on when he lied to the UN. He recently got real angry when his former chief of staff started telling the press what cheney et al had been doing. And his son was involved in some sleezy stuff.

Powell also has had every chance to WARN this country about bush and gang, but keeps silent.

Also, one has to ask what a black man is doing in the republican party to begin with. The republican party has never been a friend to the African American.

Powell only looks good to some because he is slick and almost everyone else around bush is either stone cold nuts, stupid or a criminal. And unfortunately harsh comments about bush's horrible political appointments cannot be hyperbolized-lol.

And yes, if the American people do elect McCain, it will be the end of this country as we know it.
