The Unabomber lived in a cabin with no utilities back in the woods. Ayers is one of the top political and social leaders in the city of Chicago. Anybody who wants to be anybody in Chicago, and by extension Illinois, has shown up on Ayers doorstep at least once. If it taints Obama, then it taints every politician from that state. "Ayres is a criminal who got away with it on a technicality" His father was pretty influential and rich. As a Republican, you should be able to appreciate what that can buy when it comes to justice.
