"The actual legislative record can be relevant," Right! "... but just because some point or idea is in the record doesn't make that point or idea relevant." Never said that.... "If its in the record than its a matter of fact, rather than just some crazy unsupported claim, but the fact itself has to be logically relevant to the issue. Any real argument based on those facts should provide the details of the facts themselves" Already suggested where you would be likely to find all the detail that you might want. (Hint: I did not suggest the short little popular press news item for the details.... :-)
