"What alternative energy programs?"

Like I've said before, if you had studied more and partied less, you wouldn't have been kicked out of school.

"Animal House" was just a movie, you know.

Let's see. There was the solar water heater that was installed at the White House. The DOE was created and funded a a bunch of alt. energy projects. The stated goal was to have 20% of US energy needs to be supplied by alt. energy. One of the early projects resulted in the modern windmill. The first work to commercialize fuel cells and solar panels was also funded. Production of synth fuels from oil shale, oil sands and coal was also funded. Along with tidal, geothermal and ocean thermal generation of electricity.

"I just posted his energy plan, nothing there."

No you didn't. You posted an analysis of weaknesses of his plan. It didn't address any of the alt. energy stuff.

Like this.

Now an aspect of the Act was it promoted ethanol from corn. I complained about it at the time. It was a bad idea back then, and it remains so.
