Mq, 99% of Americaans don't know who Petraeus is. Of the remaining 1%, at least half think he is a baby-killer who should be tried for crimes against humanity. Very few Americans have any idea of how the war is going. They think it is expensive at a time when the cost filling a gas tank has risen enormously, that they were sold a bill of goods and that they are as sick of it as they are of the Administration's incompetence. How they feel, regardless of facts, might well be all they need to know.
