I don't have a lot of faith in our government either. They talk to no end, while solving very little. However, we need to start electing leaders that understand the value of creating a grand vision, then putting together a strategy for achieving it, and then working with academia and industry to execute on it. That is what we do in business: vision, strategy, execution. We should expect that from our Government on all the big issues. If we aren't getting it, then I agree with you that we're wasting our tax money. Your idea is that our Government should not do anything other than exist. That is a horrible, irresponsible waste of money.
