I doubt that. No one wants the elderly to starve. And who would mind the voting booths come election day or complain about chads while voting for pat buchanan?

Raising the "insurance premiums" on those who can afford it without increasing their benefits when they retire? I wouldn't want to be part of that "insurance program."

We already covered why SS isn't a savings vehicle, so it isn't an annuity.

Lifting the FICA cap is the first step in turning Social Security into "welfare for the elderly." Something Obama might want to keep in mind, but probably won't.
