Sure looks like the Wall Street firms have become so weak and impotent that they no longer have any control over the markets.

CNBC is saying Fannie tried a bond offering today and had dismal results.

The Republicans are toast this November.

Sensing lots of frustration and doubt from the longs. The towel is soaked with sweat. Time for them toss it.

The Fed has already capitulated and the PPT maxed out their CC. That's what is accounting for the weakness. Recent saves are being countered with overwhelming selling. So they don't bother anymore. Even their no cost jawboning has been completely ineffective. Nothing for them to do but ride out the next 6 months.
