JF, > Because it costs a lot of money to make the country a place where people can earn $300K.

So the bigger the government, the more opportunities exist to earn $300K/year?

I'm fine with infrastructure and education, by the way. I'm even fine with safety net programs. Some people have a string of bad luck and could use the help.

But getting the masses hooked on the government teat will turn the country into a place where people will have no hope of making $300K/year.
