Its the sum of all the stories however that do have meaning. The american middle class is under siege--no doubt about it but more folks than you would admit and less folks than inode might imagine continue to break thru. This is what differentiates us from other nations.

Yes, this is the nonsense people bring up that helps perpetuate the myth. Everyone has an anecdotal story that claims if you work hard and save your money, you will become rich. And if it doesn't happen, its your fault....your screw up. I never said you would become rich, but anyone who makes the right choices and works hard can make a reasonable life for themselves in this country. Some of you act like cripples, like you are unable to make a life for yourself. Well, if you're disabled, that's one thing -- but if you would quit looking to the government to GIVE you everything, I believe you would surprise yourself.
