I doubt it. I never knew anyone who loved Nixon. Some that felt sorry for him as I did.

There just weren't as many Republicans in those days as there are now.

Also I notice that Republicans don't necessarily love most of their leaders. Respect them, yes. In my lifetime, really only Reagan has been loved. The Bushes, Dole, Ford are respected but not really loved. Neither is McCain.

Widely hated, yes, but also widely loved by the same type of people who tend to like Dubya.

He was a brilliant individual with a most extensive foreign policy knowledge.

He had a fatal flaw, however -- he was a liar.
