But it's not as broad a problem as widely perceived. It's reduced everyone's sense of financial well-being, but a third of homeowners don't have a mortgage, and the vast majority of people made down payments and have fixed-rate mortgages, so there's no financial strain.

He's lying to you. I made a huge down payment on my house at a fixed rate of 6% and I am straining. The cost of gas and food has strained my budget dramatically. I doubt I am the only one.

Here's one the best investment managers in the country and a guy who thinks Obama will win. Note his views on our economic outlook are overall positive.

Opinions are like --------, as they say, everybody has one.

I was shifting back and forth from NPR to Rush at lunch. Funny the person on NPR was attacking Obama for being way too right and Rush was attacking him for being way too left. Sounds like he might be doing something right.
