Offshore drilling will be a big election issue. McCain needs an economics guy who can sell it. Enter Mitt.
A poll yesterday said that 70%+ people had confidence in mmcain in FP and security. Obama was at 40. If McCain can any traction at all on economics and energy, it might change things dramatically.
The dems knee jerk reaction on drilling resonates with their green core but now with those 70% who favor mccain on national security. You see what i am getting at. Average Joe knows what fills is tank is getting too scarce and is too expensive..You dont need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows and oil is a for sure thing. The others dont have delivery systems yet and despite all the alt energy talk on this thread, no one can tell me that drilling is unpopular for most americans. Hell, most americans want to go to the beach and as in the corona commercial they can easily block out the view of an oil rig. Its the rich folks with ocean property who cant do that, because they will see it from all views. And these folks who claim to be green, whether dems or reps, are really hypocrites and the american people will find that out..

PS Even mccains lame gas tax holiday that seemed to backfire for hillary is doing ok for mac now. The dems saying its only 20 cents is a slap in the face to folks who value the 20 cents times the 15 gallons on each fillup. ONce again elitism shines thru.
