"Bingo!

Man, do you ever get it!

Mega-kudos for the shortest most brilliant post in a long time!

Long term trend investing is also immensely profitable."

Thank you Carranza...I got that from Adam Hamilton tho, at www.zealllc.com, he has a few essays on long valuation waves which are very helpful...other good sources for me have been Richard Russell and the book on technical analysis by Edwards and Magee...this book gives a wonderful historical perspective on the markets which we dont normally find in daily financial reporting.

Probably there are other strategies as well, and, of course, actually successfully executing a long term investment strategy will certainly test the courage of each of us...and as Barts charts show, even in a positive long term trend there will be lots of serious declines.
