Having said all of that and knowing that mccain has said that he was referring to his prison guard captors only, if he used the term gook as ted said in the last two weeks, he is being totally irresponsible and dumb. I doubt that he used the term two weeks ago.

I thought the literal translation of Hankuk was "one people" or first people. I must be thinking of "saram" for the word people. As long as you're providing translations - what does german and chinese "dokgil" and "chonguk" mean? PS: As for soup I like "soon dae gook" PPS: McCain - bad choice of words for a leader to use.
