Get the government out of the health care business and put it where it belongs in the private sector.

Exactly, and change the interstate insurance laws while your at it.

I am not optimistic that this will ever happen as beauracracies expand to fill any space available and continue their existence even when proved unworkable.

That's the point I was getting around too, albeit slowly. Who is going to kill these bureaucratic behemoths?
