This is stupid. That's not a "gaffe".

A gaffe is a "blatant mistake or misjudgment". Obviously, McCain meant to refer to Afghanistan, that is clear from the context.

This is no more a "gaffe" than Obama talking about 57 states in the US.

You people are desperate.
