but borrowers credit is shot and he cant just buy another house for the half price its selling at because he has no cash and no credit. Yes he can rent for half price and that will save his arse.

You left off that the homeowner that walks from his upside down property has his credit rating destroyed, besides having realized no gain from his house, supposedly the largest "investment" he'll make in his lifetime, in Bush's "Ownership Society".

Gee, I forgot people are so stupid to mortgage to the hilt and then not pay extra on their payments! I have always paid extra on my mortgage. But even if you do its still not a biggie. Buy a bigger house! LOL
