Nationalism and militarism. Offshoots, not roots. Its you who doesn't understand the nature of fascism. Nationalism and militarism were not offshoots but building blocks. Hitler gained power by appealing to the Germans' sense of nationalism. And then proceeded to build his military. And let me add a third ~ism under fascism.......imperialism. The desire to expand one's country at the expense of other countries. To this day, nationalism is strongly discouraged in Germany in the fear that it will lead to another rise in fascism. So save your RNC talking points for people who are much less informed.
