"Our resource juniors need this kind of action desperately! Should help CPQ eventually."

I totally disagree. This is a bad thing for the industry if a company can find 20,000,000 ozs and give it away for peanuts. It sets a bad precedent. If this deal goes through I no longer will invest in any gold juniors/explorers because I'll never get a good return on them

I hope Ecuador rejects this deal

I really think K has made a very smart pre-emptive strike here
but I am not seeing it add any bounce to what I follow.

CPQ should see a better premium to ozs in the ground given easier access to infrastructure, Mexican jurisdiction and rapid payback from a near zero strip ratio on an oxide starter pit. I sure don't want to see CPQ breaking down any further than this or it may see $2.65 again. Regardless I am holding til I get bought out. Which I expect may be around first quarter of 2009 but all predictions of the future in jr world are guesses.

If the POG is over $1,000 then it won't hurt the CPQ cause either.

Cheers,
Ogi
