This is a great example of the way Obama is being controlled by his handlers. Two days ago, he made repeated gaffes, referring to himself as though he were a president. Today, he says this, in response to a question posed about him speaking in Germany versus JFK or Reagan --
....etc...

Talk about interpretation ... you come up with some pretty oblique "factoids" and regurgitate them in ways that show your discomfort with how the election is shaping up.
You are pretty agitated up about this guy aren't you? Good...8 years of mismanagement and "f__k the world (which includes everyone but the base)" politics are coming back to roost.

"He was pompous enough to think he should be allowed to speak at the Brandenburg Gate."

You seem to be under the impression that only world leaders speak at the Brandenburg Gate. That isn't the case. Far from it. The Gate has been the site of many rallies, all with speakers. The Falun Gong had a rally with speakers, an association of dairy farmers held a rally there complete with tractors. In fact, the Gate is regularly the site for political rallies of all types, each with speakers. Virtually none of whom are world leaders.

Not to mention the various love parades and even a live broadcast of a soccer game on large TV screens.

Were they all arrogant?

Besides, you are aware that the whole visit to Berlin was the work of the German ambassador to the US? And he, in fact, suggested the Brandenburg Gate as a possible site for a speech?

It seems the Germans love Obama more than Americans do!
