Learning curve vs. ignorance curve. For the past 1/4 of century people have been lead to believe that their life style was not tied up to real economy. This gave rise to a generation of Nimby and Banana people.

Until the emerging HSC (Hungry Savage Capitalists) asserted themselves. While the HSC were for 25 years on a learning curve, the Nimby and Banana people were descending on an ignorance curve.

Today they are full of redundant marine biologists and other useless knowledge while the HSCs are taking their money, houses, holidays, cars and schools.

I doubt that there are people who know how to build a new energy infrastructure in house without bringing in HSC to do it.

Could that be the case why there are no oil rigs to be seen as we cross the Golden Gate? Perhaps if the US would engage in such activities others would have to come to do it for them.

Could be that the public opinion against drilling oil is a result from ignorance? (ok this is ‘spiced a bit by the people who make money on the status quo) Note that Katrina wrecked havoc and there was no oil disaster with all those rigs in the gulf. Isn’t that a proof that the oil drilling on the sea is safe?
