Imposition by your own clique so often doesn't look like an imposition- why it's just "reasonable". Oddly enough much of what society does is an imposition- it's just a question of which impositions you want to go with. I don't know why people don't get that. Most exercises of freedom come at the expense of someone else- very few of them are actually actions without a corresponding decrease in freedom for someone else- I guess it's a little like that law of thermodynamics- the amount of freedom in the universe is constant, only the ways it is manifested change.

You don't know what you're talking about. Women have choice. Universities use affirmative action. Schools are desegregated. Gays and lesbians have the same rights as everybody else. The NRA interprets the constitution correctly, and it's as plain as the nose on your face. You don't care about that so it doesn't bother you that liberals work every day to destroy that particular freedom.

Let's reword this paragraph a little and apply it to the left----- "I gather you missed the memo in which the right wing has been trying for the past almost forty years to impose a set of social views on the rest of the country--denying women choice, denying universities and colleges the right to use affirmative action to correct school segregation, denying rights to gays and lesbians, I could go on" Reworded: "The left wing, the progressve-socialists have been trying for the past almost forty years, and more, to impose their agenda and their set of social values and views on the majority of Americans. The left created a demand for killing of our future generations via abortion on demand---imposed on universities and colleges affirmative action requirements that benefit few and now have served their intended purpose, demanded special treatment for gays and lesbians including the treatment for AIDS----yes I could go on".
