CC or anyone, a couple of questions for you :

-what % of kinross is Russia based ?
-was kinross buying up some shares in a few jr golds at one time, and do they still have these ?
-do you think that a good signal for when we should buy/add to holdings is if/when there is a competing bid for aru ? i.e. if one of the real big guys thinks its time to add a jr of significant potential, then its time for us too ?

thx/merci

A dose of positivism and a buck sixty-five will get you a cup of coffee, LOL.

Is this the type of positivism you are talking about? BTW I agree with this statement 100% ....if ARU shareholders get the shaft then one has to have lost their marbles to stay in this game because there is no way any of us can win by investing in explorers and waiting for some buyout. This Kinross deal is without a doubt the worst thing that has happened to this industry since Bre-X. Consider that Bre-x never had the gold anyway and was a scam. Consider that ARU has 20 million ounces and the shareholders didn't benefit whatsover because management are crooks and gave away the gold to other crooks.....yes Patrick...You ARE a crook in my opinion....rot in HELL

=========

"I am still upset about the 15 million shares we gave away ,Dilluting our shares more than ever .Now Kinross has a huge vote .and watch that 72million bucks disapear to some deep pockets .It is supposed to be left there for start up costs ,How much was in the bank before this

Surley this is illegal? If it isn't, then any company out there can make a "friendly" deal, sell a controlling interest to the acquirer, and leave the shareholders out in the cold. I think a UN observer would call that ballot stuffing, no?

Look around at how many juniors have had their shares hammered flat in the last 12 months. Many of them made a round trip, even though they now have a discovery to their credit. So now what? Do they all cut sweetheart deals, sell a controlling interest to a suitor and give it away for nothing?

Fact: If this thing flies, I'm out of Canadian juniors for good. It's a big world, and it's all connected via the internet. I'll just take my toys to another sandbox, thank you very much.

another confirming comment:
"Check.

I'm feed up with the wildwest attitude of the TSX/juniors and the total lack of any regulation by the OSC."

another
"Roger that! These guys better pull their heads out of their arses fast if they know what's good for them. I have an account with a UK firm that lets me trade just about any market in the world, so why should I bother with them? Hey, TSX? It's a different world now. I got your globalization right here. One click away.

Hah! Maybe Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Brazil, Argentina and so on, should set up their own electronic junior market and finance their own damn mining/energy industries? They'd do at least as good a job, plus you'd have local money in the game as well. Hell, I might even go down there and help them set it up!"

more:
"If Barron left because he didn't like the stink that was starting to emanate from the ARU boardroom then I would imagine he'd like to stick to them and vote NO.

Aside from that I'm sure he'd be happy with a higher price as a result - after all not likely he's got some "management fees" we haven't been told about."

Finally to all those who complain about "POLITICAL RISK" YOU CAN ALL FOAD.....

"All this blather by the so called analyst chattering class about ARU being discounted due to the Ecuadorian political scene. Surely all companies listed on Canadian exchanges should be discounted due to an absolute lack of regulation enforcement by the OSC et al."

Hi Claude.....please explain why you think this Kinross ARU-X deal will not have the same effect on investors psychology as BRE-X did when it killed investment in juniors for years. I know one thing, I will NEVER take the advice of anyone who recommends a Canadian listed junior EVER again as this game is rigged so that small investors lose money to the crooks that run things in this crooked country which has far more political risk than any of the countries self righteous Canadians criticize

ARU-X the discovery of the decade that no one bennefited from except the criminals in Canadian Mining

Thank you

Some positivity, I think can be found here.

I'd guess this chart has to go another 2/3 below the median line
to meet the average low, but I think it could go lower then that. Staying put and adding may be the best bet.

Dr.Marc Faber calls for one once to buy the Dow. Sounds kind of heavy, but - - -
