Pedophilia and bigamy are illegal. There is no reason to think that will change, especially with regard to pedophilia. Making pedophilia some kind of natural progressive result of allowing adults to marry is completely illogical. But WHY are pedophilia and bigamy illegal? Because society has adopted standards. Does society have this right or not? In some cultures bigamy is permitted, even encouraged. I don't know of any where pedophilia is permitted, except in the vision of organizations like NMBLA. I did not make the claim that pedophilia is the natural progressive result of allowing adults to marry. My statement was directed at whether society should allow pedophilia or not. And why. And whether it has the right to do so. If it has such a right, then it can have the right to deny people of the same sex to marry.
