It works well Bill

I tried it once before about 20 years ago. Lost about 10 lbs. But it was back in my drinking days and a waste of time then. What makes a big difference now is all the Internet help. For instance, this Carb Counter, carb-counter.org, makes it very easy to check everything with no effort. No need to write anything down, just do it as you go. For instance, my daily tablespoon of flaxseed is 4.11 carbs. I have it mixed with applesauce and prune juice, which runs it to about 10 carbs in a heaping tablespoonful. I am allowed 20, so that makes it all for the day.

I entend to stay on meat and eggs for as long as I can put up with it.

OR,

Atkins worked very well for me and took me from 310 to the 250 I'm at now. I would say I'm in a quasi maintenance phase though I eat carbs now as I just really enjoy a pizza now and again. I make my own from scratch so there isn't any sugar's involved but still. At any rate I'm about to take the final plunge myself and see if I can't hit that 200 mark also.

I am not sure what your body type is, but a lot of men gain in their belly, mostly visceral fat. Carrying around extra visceral fat is bad. It is an active organ, unlike what was thought of it before.

Good thing is that visceral fat is not that difficult to lose for men.
