From a friend who works at Merrill:

part of the reason i want to leave my job is because things have gotten so out of hand about how we work and this and that, that i no longer feel like they're looking at the quality of the work i do, and are looking at little nitpicking things which mean nothing

budgets are so tight - they cut our hours down, yet they want me in at 9 on the dot, even tho they are letting people leave early. they are like nazis about us talking to each other, all this craziness ive never had to deal with becaiuse they're worried about the company going down

I found this one, well, sort of sad...

You have no idea how sick I am of the expression: let the free markets take care of the problem. Its free markets that got us into the subprime mess; its free markets that did nothing for years as Americans became more and more addicted to oil. I think its time to burn free markets in effigy.

Actually, I did say burn the free markets in effigy and not to Tim but to you:

Again, I just get frustrated with all the deification of free markets. When left uncharted, free markets can really mess things up. I prefer them when they are not completely unfettered.
