John
My agent's dad was conservative all his life till he got sucked in and bought 3 spec condos in/near Jupiter in 05. One he brought 20k to close it 6 months ago just to stop the bleeding. Another he paid 180k and recently a foreclosure went for 19k in his project.

"We still debate whether we are in recession today but I say it is more because of how we measure the CPI. We could possible grow nominal GDP coming out of this current funk at double digits but most folks will still feel like it is a recession..yes the 70's trend will take the mantle and run with it."

I think GDP could grow all it wants and the country is still in a recession. The Dollar is also a big proponent of how bad the situation is in as much it has eroded America's buying power so even if GDP grows as buying power shrinks what good is it.?

You also really can't believe any Gov't statistics these days....IMHO
