Agreed, Jim. An interesting read, indeed. To answer slacker711's trailing question, then, which was: "Are there any other initiatives I have missed so far to fix the LTE voice issue?"

I'll respond with yet another question: Who's going to get the contract to install all of the central office-based VoIP gateways for LTE, once that VoIP is a must carry feature and LTE, due to IMS's lingering and forever-growing complexity, still isn't up to the task?

All of which calls to mind a story I read today in Light Reading. If you read between the lines of the first paragraph, you needn't go any further:
