My value system puts a lot of worth on marriage, the commitment thereof, the necessity for properly raising children, and so forth. So does mine, and I see nothing there that precludes gays from having the same value system. As for children, thus far, the studies are showing that children raised by gays have no more, no less problems than children from hetero- homes. Far more damage has been done to marriage- and to children- by heterosexuals than gays. If we open the doors of legitimacy to gays, the behaviors which you listed as irresponsible may change and I believe they will. Being treated as a sick, depraved sinner does not breed a healthy person- gay or straight.
