<...far-right think-tank Pacific Research Institute funded by,,, wait for it... MICROSOFT!...>>

Yeah ... You are rather dishonest in your phrasing, and I know you meant to mislead.
You make it sound as if the "Pacific Research Institute in San Francisco, California" is ENTIRELY FUNDED by Microsoft, (and you knew it was NOT).

So you MUST have read ALL this from the link YOU posted, and then CHOSE to be misleading?:

<<"... Accorording to Media Transparency, PRI obtained 117 grants totalling $8,904,800 (unadjusted for inflation) from foundations between 1985 and 2005.[5]

In 2003 PRI states that 50% of its income came from foundations, 13% from corporations and the remainder from individuals. [5] It lists foundation and corporate supporters who contributed over $10,000 in the 2003 financial year as:

Corporations:
Altria
ChevronTexaco
Cypress Semiconductor
Exxon Mobil Corporation
Freedom Communications
Microsoft
Pfizer
PhRMA
SBC (now AT&T)
Verizon
White House Writers Group

Foundations:
Anschutz Foundation
Bernard Lee Schwartz Foundation
Capecchio Foundation
Center for American Unity
Charles Koch Foundation
Chase Foundation of Virginia
D & DF Foundation
D & D Foundation
David and Annette Jorgensen Foundation
Dean Witter Foundation
Earhart Foundation
Farrell Family Foundation
Girard foundation
Hugh & Hazel Darling Foundation
Lilly Endowment
Lynder and Harry Bradley Foundation
Milbank Foundation for Rehabilitation
Philip M. McKenna Foundation
Ruth & Lovett Peters Foundation
Sarah Scaife Foundation
Templeton Foundation
The Gleason Foundation
The Hickory Foundation
The Little River Foundation
The San Francisco Foundation
Walton family Foundation
Weiler Foundation
William E. Simon Foundation
William H. Donner Foundation
The conservative Capital Research Center (CRC) Spotlight project provides some additional, though a little dated, information on PRI's major funders. CRC lists the Lilly Endowment as having contributed $175,000 annually between 1999 and 2002 (inclusive)....">>

BTW ....
1)One of their primary Goals (as stated) in 'Business and Economics – "to strike down barriers to economic growth and innovation", which makes them a clear advesary of the EU policies .....Understand ?.
2) MICROSOFT and the Bill Gates foundation contributes BILLIONS of dollars to THOUSANDS of causes.... The "EU UNION" and their theiving policies wants a peice of that ..... under the guise of "protecting the consumer" .... it is so blatantly obvious, that is if you can think clearly.

The list of contributers is ongoing.......
Don't be surprised if harrased Italian and French fishermen contribute to it..... They are sick of it also:

..frustrated Fishing industry ..... the ever present EU sniffs around, .... under the leadership of Joe BORG ("EU Fisheries Commissioner"):
