They would just like to be accepted, given the same rights that everyone else has and be left alone to live their lives.

That's the way it should be. I think they want to expand their group to gain political power, however. Otherwise, why the parades?

Sometimes I get the feeling people who say this kind of stuff don't know any gay people very well- and what gay person will open up to folks who think they "recruit"- what are they, the Navy? My daughter's godmother is a lesbian- and she gets "recruited" by straight guys a lot, because she's pretty, but as far as I know, she's never tried to recruit anyone.
