The queen ask: " What's so wrong with Brinker (if true) protecting his name and his reputation by all legal means from defamation by those whose goal is simply to defame him out of their never-ending anger and disappointment?" I see your point. Brinker is upset at people who are quoting his exact words. There is nothing that I can think of that would be more damning to Brinker's reputation than some of the things he has said and written. For example the Oct 2000 act immediately bulletin. His words on Moneytalk for years saying that he would go 100% into cash to avoid bear markets. His call to lump sum into this market at the 1400 level just prior to the beginning of the current bear market. His advice to avoid gold when it was much lower than it is today. His questionable tax advice to various callers to Moneytalk. Yes if I wanted to protect Brinker's reputation I would do everything I could to keep people from fining out some of the colossal mistakes he has made over the years. The best way to do that is to cover them up. I understand why you don't blame him for doing this. It would be bad for his business if he didn't.

Queen, Thanks for posting that. Actually, many here will recall that Honey had many, many Nazi posts and quite a few were specifically aimed at individuals, such as Dave. Most of the posts were at Yahoo, but it appears that she (or they) have deleted most of her posts. I am sure that there are also many at her Google message board, but it is too warm for me to don layers of protective gear to wade through all of the sewage, pig-swill, hogwash, slough and hog-wallow over there, not to mention the venomous bee stings. queen, Please don't make assumptions about what it was that I find insulting about Octavian's question, since I did not mention anything in particular -- and deliberately so. I was hoping to avoid the ravenous-wolf attacks that always follow one of Octavian's cheap-shot insults. Looks like it didn't help. No matter what I say or DON'T SAY, you and your ilk are never hesitant to resort to bald-faced lying! What a setup! First Octavian posts a disgusting little insult. I ignore it, so he repeats it ad nauseam, but when I finally reply, the person who you know stalks and harasses me constantly, decides to make up something I said about, and you repeat it as though it's true. Do you EVER get a glimmer of conscience about doing such a vile thing? . Here is what I said -- and ALL that I said: "I find your question to be very insulting on several levels -- not only to me, but to my friend, InvesTing. I would have expected it to be beneath you. But I shouldn't have, because you haven't hit bottom yet in what you will say to defend your guru. If you are so impressed with your own mean-spiritedness as to keep repeating your question, be my guest. Do you still beat your dog or have you just poisoned him?" .
