Even Obama is giving lip service to the idea, though we all know he probably doesn't mean it.

JFShepard and others have been hammering on the whole "peak oil" argument for quite a while now, as if that should discourage us from trying to look for more in areas we haven't already looked. That and the notion that oil companies aren't drilling on the lands they already have (which of course contradicts the "peak oil" nonsense, but hey, since when do soundbytes have to jibe with each other)?
