I'd like to see what you come up with. From what I have seen, we should be lowering the amount of vitamin A we take while upping the amount of vitamin D.

Vitamin A toxicity is potentially a serious issue IMO.

It may be the only vitamin which has serious toxicity issues associated with it when taken in excess although I wonder about vitamin E and even perhaps vitamin D. These are the fat soluble vitamins. Generally the water soluble vitamins like the B vitamins and vitamin C should be eliminated from the body via the kidneys. Niacin does have pharmaceutical type effects when taken in large doses so the whole issue is probably complex.

I remember years ago my organic chemistry professor joking about all the thiamine that could be found in the Charles River.

I have been taking cod liver oil and will continue to do so but have just purchased some fish oil without the A to swap off because I'm concerned about getting too much A. And darned if the processed food folks aren't starting to "enrich" products with it. They're also enriching foods with calcium, which I'm trying to avoid. If I could stop one practice in that industry it would be "enrichment." If something needs to be "enriched" due to some inherent shortfall, they shouldn't sell it as food. And if the "enrichment" is an irrelevant add-on, shame on them.
