The one that bothers me is that Cheerios and its generic siblings tout the cholesterol lowering heart benefits of oats, yet "fortify" their oat cereal with iron, which for men is a no-no.

I don't particularly like oatmeal, but it's become my breakfast staple because of the above..

I have not yet cleared my head from all the narcotics and the anesthesia sufficiently to start researching kidney stones. I had made the determination based on arterial plaque. I figured I'd wait until I got the report on the nature of the one stone that was caught yesterday during a cystoscopy before I spent a lot of time. So thanks for that excellent source on the various types of stones. Right now I'm ignorantly blaming the worst week of my life on my re-initiation to spinach, which I jumped into with vigor in a recent diet change after decades of avoidance due to my unwillingness to hamper the absorption of calcium.

Wish I could find where I read about dietary calcium and arterial plaque...
