"McCain made fun of Barack making the very well known fact that fully inflated tires help greatly reduce gas consumption"

That's the mindset that's been running the country for the last 7 years.

Koan:

My point is that when very specific questions are asked of the global warming proponents the answer is always the same. "There is a consensus, blah, blah, blah." So what.

If you are right, state the facts that make you right, why is it necessary to constinue to claim that there is a consensus in favor of your position. Since when is that an answer to a legitimate scientific Inquiry? If that is the best answer the proponents have, I am not buying it.

I remember as a child that almost every friend of mine had his/her tonsils, adnoids and appendix removed. It was the consensus at the time among doctors that this was a good thing. Today that is laughable. It is wise to question the experts and if they can't provide good answers, it is wise to doubt them.

It was the consensus of the experts, that Barak Obama couldn't win the nomination, today it is their consensus that he will be the next President. We know the consensus was wrong on the first point and, I suspect the experts will be wrong on the second point.

History is replete with similiar examples.
